Sewage cleanup process for commercial buildings

This facility had a lot of sewer damage and SERVPRO of Bloomington/Richfield was quick to respond and help. Sewer water is the worst of all the ways to have a loss. Commercial or home sewer losses are treated similarly.

First of all the wet contaminated building materials need to be removed. The bacteria gets soaked into the drywall and will stay there.

Next the area will be washed and disinfected. The washing is usually done by a pressure washer. The air movers and dehumidifiers dry the rest of the wet materials and prepare the building for restoration.
