What to do if you have a flood in your home?

If your home floods:

1. Contact your insurance company to determine coverage.
2. Talk to the local fire department before turning on electricity.
3. Be safe when entering flooded areas as bacteria and animals might be present.

Mitigation is the process of lessening the amount of damage done to your home due to flooding. The tearing out of wet materials removes bacteria and mold from the home.
